Ratchet Lever Hoist Features & Benefits
Thanks to its design this ratchet lever hoist has great multi-directionality. Whether you want to lift, pull or tension this hoist can be used in pretty much any direction. Plus with forward and reverse modes the chain can move through the hoist in both directions. This is down the the twin pawls which enable the change over.
This means that in the up mode the hoist the chain will be pulled in to lift or pull your load. In reverse or down mode the chain will advance out to release the tension and or lower the load.
This mode switch is located under the hand wheel on the lever. You will also find that there is a third mode, this is the central position and neutral mode. When the lever hoist is put into neutral mode it becomes free-chaining. Meaning there are no hinderances to the chain which can be pulled through by hand. This mechanism enables loads to be attached much quicker when it is much further away from where the main hoist body is anchored. It also enables quick set up and easy chain replacement. This is ideal if you need to replace a damaged chain or swap out the chain for a different length.
Unlimited lengths or chain can be used with these devices but come with 1.5 metres as standard.
