Why choose the Delta DEH Hoist and Trolley Combination

There are a couple of reasons as to why you would choose this combo rather than a stand alone hoist and separate trolley. Firstly it can be easier to set up and use; secondly and perhaps more importantly the overall size will be smaller providing a set up ideal when low head room is an issue. The smaller height dimension is down to the elimination of the suspension hook which usually fits to an anchor point on a beam trolley. Instead the trolley is bolted directly to the top of the hoist unit providing a more compact set up.

Trolley Options

The simplest and cheapest trolley option is the push travel trolley. This is a manually operated trolley in that you will use the load and/or load hook to push/pull the trolley across the beam.

The second option, the power drive trolley is arguably easier to use, this is down to the fact that it runs on electric power so that it can be moved over the beam at the touch of a button, requiring zero physical effort and therefore no risk of muscular injuries due to pushing awkwardly.

The power drive trolley has dual speeds; it can achieve 6.7 metres per minute on the slower speed and up to 20 metres per minute on the fastest speed. The dual speeds enable optimum load control, depending on what your load is you can choose which speed is best for you.

Benefits of the Hoist and Trolley Combo

Both trolley options are suitable for most beams between 74 to 300mm as they can be adjusted.

If you are worried about lifting up both the trolley and hoist to fit to a beam, don’t be! Thanks to the plug and play set up the trolley can easily be unbolted and fitted to the beam first before re-bolting on the hoist. Obviously this will require a few pairs of hands.

What’s more, should you wish to change the set up further down the line then the trolley can be removed and a hook or lug suspension added so that it can be used elsewhere.
