Viper Heavy Duty Machine Skates Set Features

The Viper VMMS load moving skate set incorporates 4 key parts, a steerable section, removable handle and 2 trailing skates.
The steerable section is the largest component and contains the wheels and a turntable. The number of polyurethane wheels will subsequently depend on the models capacity.
8 tonne = 4 wheels
16 tonne = 8 wheels
24 tonne = 12 wheels
36 tonne = 18 wheels
48 tonne = 24 wheels

In the centre position you will see a bearing mounted turntable, as a result movements are smooth. This swivelling plate/turntable enables you to twist and turn the load easier to get the load and skates into the optimum position ready for moving, and also helping to reposition the load when unloading in its new place.
The long handle attaches to this unit to enable easier steering. The length varies between models.

The rear trailing skates can be connected together with the included connecting bar to be certain that the two skates will move together in tandem.
Both the rear skates as well as the turntable are covered in a non slip textured surface, most importantly providing a good grip and thus less chance of the load sliding off.

The connecting bar and handle can be quickly removed thus making storing easier whilst taking up less room.

Skate Capacities

The lifting capacities available are 16, 24, 36 and 48 tonnes. These capacities are the maximum allowed across all 4 skates. When it comes to the capacity for each individual skate the numbers are split down. Consequently the combined capacity of the 2 trailing skates is equal to the main steerable skate.
As an example let us look at the 24 tonne set; The main steerable section will have a maximum capacity of 12 tonne whilst the 2 trailing skates will equal 12 tonne or 6 tonne each, totalling the 24 tonne maximum.
